Rena Gavigan (she/her) is a director, intimacy director, producer, and actor.

She was bitten by the bug after getting cast in a regional theatre production of The Wizard of Oz when she was 9, and has spent a majority of the last 20+ years in rehearsal rooms, uncomfortable theatre seats, and debating what makes theatre great in countless coffee shops across the Hudson Valley. She’s known for creating and advocating for accessible ticket initiatives and is most passionate about being a part of queer theatre.

A few of her favorite directing credits include The Baker’s Wife at Ridgefield Theatre Barn, The Prom, Kinky Boots, and Boy  with Rhinebeck Theatre Society, and Almost, Maine at Westchester Community College. This summer, she’s directing A New Brain at Arc Stages, followed by The Crucible at The CENTER for Performing Arts at Rhinebeck.
